Gordon Hayward and the Utah Jazz didn’t have the performance they hoped for against the Los Angeles Clippers, but they’re still officially going to the playoffs for the first time since the 2011-12 season.

Utah fell 108-95 at the Staples Center, but with the Denver Nuggets losing to the New Orleans Pelicans, Gordon is bound for the postseason for just the second time in his career.

The Jazz only held the lead once in the game, and that was a quick 2-0 lead in the first. However, they did briefly make the game interesting in the third quarter when they went on a 20-6 run and cut the Clipper’s lead down to just two.

Gordon Hayward finished the game with 14 points and five rebounds, with 10 of his points coming in the second and third quarter.

In the fourth, Gordon left the game with what was later revealed to be a quadriceps contusion.

“I think he is fine,” Jazz coach Quin Snyder said Saturday. “They took him in to get an X-ray, I think everything is good.”

Jamal Crawford was lights-out from the field on Saturday for L.A., coming off the bench to score 28 points on 8-of-12 shooting.

Up next, the Jazz host the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night. Hayward is listed as questionable.

The Jazz still hold a one-game lead over the Clippers for the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
