Gordon Hayward just capped perhaps the best single month of his NBA career, but after a tremendous February, March didn’t bring such a spectacular start.

The Jazz came out flat and never could find a rhythm on either end of the floor, falling 107-80 to the Minnesota Timberwolves at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

“We really didn’t do much tonight,” Hayward said. “We had an emotional loss last night (to the Oklahoma City Thunder). But we’ve got to find energy and we didn’t do that. We got crushed.”

February brought Gordon’s first Western Conference All-Star selection, a new career-high in scoring average for a month at 25.5 points per game. He hit the 30-point mark five times while leading the Jazz to a 7-4 record, including four road wins.

However, G-Time couldn’t get anything going, finishing with 13 points and four rebounds.

“I didn’t bring it … didn’t have our guys ready,ďż˝? Hayward said.

The Timberwolves outscored the Jazz in every quarter except the fourth, but by then it was too big of a deficit for the Jazz to overcome.

It was a tough night all-around for the Jazz who will look to turn things around on Friday when they host the Brooklyn Nets.
